Alpha Swift USV assists Guangzhou City in the comprehensive emergency drill for 'welcoming the National Games and ensuring safety' during Beijiang River's major flood defense and emergency response operations.
On May 16, the Guangzhou Municipal Flood Control, Drought Relief, and Typhoon Prevention Headquarters conducted a 'Comprehensive Emergency Drill for Beijiang River's Major Flood Defense and Emergency Response Operations.' The drill involved over 600 participants from municipal emergency management, public security, water affairs, health, hydrology, garrison command, fire services, power supply, and communications sectors. Professional rescue teams and civilian emergency forces also participated actively in the exercise.

The drill simulated extreme heavy rainfall in the upper reaches of the Beijiang River, leading to a once-in-a-century catastrophic flood in the basin. The scenario involved rapidly rising water levels, embankment breaches, submerged villages and roads, destroyed houses, and stranded residents...
The Guangzhou Flood Control, Drought Relief, and Typhoon Prevention Headquarters promptly mobilized experts and coordinated with district authorities and relevant departments to analyze hydrological, rainfall, and structural conditions. They deployed flood-fighting and rescue operations in Guangzhou's designated sections, prioritizing the evacuation of trapped civilians and ensuring the safety of lives and property.

During the drill, the Blue Sky Rescue Team utilized the Alpha Swift USV equipped with advanced side-scan sonar technology. The vessel successfully conducted underwater surveys using single-beam sonar and performed intelligent detection via side-scan sonar imaging, efficiently constructing a detailed riverbed profile of the designated area. This enabled timely identification of potential river channel hazards, providing reliable and precise data to support on-site emergency operations.

The exercise fully validated the Alpha Swift USV rapid response capabilities in large-scale flood defense and disaster response scenarios. It also highlighted the unmanned vessel's operational safety, reliability, and data accuracy in field missions.

According to reports, this drill highlighted three distinctive features—'full-process, full-coordination, and innovative capabilities':
As a prime example of 'next-generation combat readiness,' Alpha Swift USV has become one of the most popular surveying unmanned boats on the market, thanks to its outstanding features such as lightweight portability, high efficiency, integrated design, intelligent operation, and single-operator functionality.
