Cape Town, South Africa | May 24–29, 2026
The 28th FIG Congress 2026 brought together surveying professionals, government agencies, academic institutions, and technology providers from around the world at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Under the theme 'The Future We Want – The SDGs and Beyond,' the congress highlighted the latest innovations shaping the future of surveying and geospatial technology.
As an exhibitor at FIG Congress 2026, Alpha Surveying showcased its latest surveying equipment and intelligent surveying solutions to a global audience. The exhibition also marked an important milestone in the company's global expansion strategy and reinforced its long-term commitment to supporting customers across Africa and other emerging markets.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors experienced live demonstrations of Alpha Surveying's product portfolio while discussing real-world surveying challenges with our technical team.
Rather than focusing solely on product specifications, conversations centered on improving field efficiency, simplifying workflows, and solving practical challenges faced by surveyors every day.
The following solutions attracted the most attention during the exhibition:

Built with a 7 W dual-mode radio, Alpha XBase provides long-range GNSS radio communication, helping survey teams maintain stable corrections across larger project areas.
Designed for measuring hard-to-reach points, Alpha 40 combines GNSS RTK positioning with laser measurement, enabling high-precision measurements up to 50 meters without requiring direct access to the target.
This flexibility makes it especially useful for urban environments, construction sites, hazardous locations, and difficult terrain.
Portability remains a priority for many survey teams. Alpha 4i offers a lightweight design without compromising measurement performance, making it well suited for long field days and rapid deployment.
Featuring 1″ angular accuracy, Alpha Tx(a) combines reliable measurement performance with an Android-based workflow, providing a familiar operating experience while supporting demanding surveying applications.
Hydrographic professionals showed strong interest in the compact Alpha Me USV.
Compact enough for single-person transport and deployment, Alpha Me helps reduce the manpower traditionally required for bathymetric surveys while maintaining efficient data collection on rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and coastal projects.
One of the highlights of the exhibition came when several international partners completed on-site evaluations and placed orders during the event. The demonstration units were purchased directly from the booth, reflecting growing confidence in Alpha Surveying's technology and product performance.
Beyond showcasing new products, FIG Congress also provided an opportunity to hear directly from surveyors, distributors, engineering companies, and educators.
Throughout the event, our team collected valuable feedback covering workflow efficiency, portability, software integration, and application-specific requirements.
These conversations will continue to influence how we develop future products.
Our goal remains simple:
Build surveying equipment that professionals genuinely want to use in the field.
Since its founding, Alpha Surveying has focused on developing a complete portfolio of surveying solutions through continuous in-house research and development.
Today, our products and services are available in nearly 100 countries and regions, supporting professionals across construction, land surveying, infrastructure, mining, hydrography, and geospatial mapping.
As our international network continues to grow, we remain committed to providing practical technologies, responsive technical support, and long-term partnerships for customers worldwide.
Our first FIG Congress was an important milestone, but it's only the beginning.
We're grateful to everyone who visited our booth, tested our equipment, shared valuable feedback, and explored opportunities for future collaboration.
We look forward to strengthening our partnerships and supporting surveying professionals with practical, reliable solutions around the world and meeting even more surveying professionals around the world in the years ahead.
